Slacker Blogger

OK...I feel rather guilty, but I haven't logged on in so long that I'd missed several blogs.  I admit it was a lot of fun to read a bunch all at once.  My children think I'm nuts because I am hiding in the closet laughing out loud.  The thought of Dinah in a weight vest, armband, visor and sunglasses is priceless!

Kirsten....Happy Birthday and I am just around the corner!  Yuck!

While I am living in the house, temporarily really since we have been in and out so much this summer, it is not without some major glitches.  For example....on my return this past Sunday none (not one) of the (many) TVs in the house would turn on.  I could hear what was on a channel but could not see anything nor could I change the said channel.  After that was fixed (?), tonight I tried to turn off the lights in one room and it turned off the TVs in 2 other rooms.  Neat!  Certainly I could have alot more problems, like swine flu, so I'm not going to complain.  Or I will try not to complain too much.  Living with sub contractors has really been a joy.

Christi....I admire your courage and stamina in the pool.  I get worn out just thinking about swimming a lap.  Can you wear that armband in the water?  It might encourage me to jump in.

Dinah, I have spent the past 5 years starving from Monday to Thurs/Friday only to gain it all back by Sunday night.  I didn't even need an armband to figure it out!  I admit to being obsessed with the scale for quite some time.  I think a Lay's potato chip is healthy in the grand scheme of things.  For me it is usually the lesser of 2 evils and I will pick a potato with a little salt and oil any day.  Its only 3 ingredients so it can't be that bad, right?  My main problem is that I find myself in horrible food choice situations.  Like tonight...200 crew people at a Rays's baseball game.  You can only imagine the food choices.  What am I supposed to do? Starve?  At least I stayed away from the beer!  I admit that those vegans are very cultish but I am going to have to agree with their protein theory.  What about some beans every now and then?  I can't do peanut butter....I have no will power and will eat the entire jar.  The fake hot dogs are pretty good with a lot of mustard.  Have you tried the sprouted grain breads/tortillas?  Not bad.

I'm going to go see if I can turn off some more lights without starting the microwave!

XO
Allison
